The Inspired Systems (LDS) Locomotive Download System is designed to provide engine maintenance, and incident investigation tools.
Complete with on-board Train Interface Equipment (TIE) units, the LDS system collects logger information, and combines GPS positioning data, to provide a complete picture of what each locomotive was doing at the point in question.
